In 2022, Collier Library signed a new multi-year agreement with ACS that covers January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025. Part of that agreement was participation in the ACS-Sponsored Read + Publish program for the duration of the agreement.
Details of the program are not included in the license agreement. So, relevant excerpts from an email from our sales representative on 1/26/23 are included below:
"To date, there haven’t been any articles published however, should your researchers decide to publish open access content they can do so in any ACS journal under the ACS-Sponsored Read + Publish program. Please find included below additional information for your review. "
"ACS is now providing sponsored open access publication to authors at primarily undergraduate institutions* that subscribe to the All- Publications Package. (*ACS defines PUIs as institutions that do not offer advanced degrees in the sciences). University Of North Alabama subscribes to the All- Pubs Package, so you have access to the ACS-Sponsored Read + Publish at no charge. "
