With the explosion of information found online the subject of copyright is more complex than ever. Copyright is a form of protection granted by law for original works of authorship and covers both published and unpublished works. Merriam-Webster’s defines copyright as “the exclusive legal right to reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute the matter and form of something (as a literary, musical, or artistic work)”.
