USDA National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS)
The National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS) is the main statistical reporting body for the US Department of Agriculture. Here, you can locate publicly available data and statistics tracked by the department, most notably the Census of Agriculture, but also geospatial data and interactive maps, data visualization tools, and reports.
Agricola is a bibliographic database created by the National Agricultural Library and others in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This database facilitates access to citations relating to the agricultural literature, including publications from various government agencies and scholarly publishing.
From the USDA, this website provides charts and maps on the following agricultural categories: livestock, economics , crops, and research. The website also incorporates census data, data visualization tools, and micromaps.
The Census of Agriculture, produced by the NASS, is the only comprehensive source of data on agricultural production and operator characteristics for each county and state, and for the United States of America. The platform allows you to perform quick searches for statistics as well as to create queries for specific information.
Economic Research Service (USDA)
The Economic Research Service of the USDA creates reports, data, charts, and maps related to various economic categories within the agriculture industry. These include data and statistics related to animal products, crops, farm practices and management, food and nutrition assistance, food choices and health, food markets and prices, food safety, international markets and trade, natural resources and the environment, and rural economy and population.
Produced by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAOSTAT consists of online and multilingual databases focusing on international statistics in the following areas: food security and balance, production of food, prices, trade and inputs, emissions from agriculture and land use, forestry, agri-environmental indicators, investment, etc. FAOSTAT also provides information on key indicators per country, international rankings in relevant areas, and emissions related to global climate change in agriculture.
USDA Nutrient Data Laboratory (NDL)
The NDL develops authoritative food composition databases and state of the art methods to acquire, evaluate, compile, and disseminate composition data on foods available in the United States.
