Quick Start Guide

This page of the guide will give you quick links to the most frequently used resources for your class.  For more in-depth information on each topic, click on the tab at the top of the page.

Locating Journals

For your first assignment, you need to find 5 publication sources that you will use for the rest of your course.  Start with Browzine.  From the Library's Homepage  select "Browse Academic Journals" in the Find Articles box in the center of the page - or just click the link for Browzine above.  Once in Browzine, select "Arts and Humanities" and from there you can narrow it down to "Creative Writing", "Literature" or any of the other subcategories to locate journals in your field.

If you haven't been able to narrow it down by looking through Browzine, you can go back to the Library Homepage and click on the "Periodicals Holdings" link in the "Find Articles" box (or you can click on the link above). This will take to a page where you can browse all of the Journals we own by Discipline.  You can look in "Literature and Writing" where there are over 1200 sources listed.  Once you have selected "Literature and Writing" you can use the limiters on the left of the page to narrow down the journals and find what you need.
