Library Resources
Collier Library provides access to a variety of resources to support business research. These include print and electronic books, periodicals, streaming audio and video, and databases. The physical resources owned by the library and many of the electronic books available through the library can be located using the online catalog here. Other electronic books can be found through our ebook databases. We have one subscription ebook collection that covers business and IT. That database can be accessed here. The graduate loan period for most of our print books is 90 days with the ability to renew for additional 90 day periods online.
For a full list of available databases, visit our Databases page. From there, you can browse through an alphabetical list, or chose from the drop-down menus to filter available databases by subject, database type, and/or vendor. The most relevant databases for business research can be found on the Business database subject page. The search box on the library website allows you to search across many of our online databases simultaneously.
The library provides access to a wide variety of periodical sources on business and related topics. There are two different options for browsing periodicals on business - Browzine and Publication Finder.
Library Services
If you need a book, journal article, or other library material that the library does not have, we can often borrow it from another library. This service, Interlibrary Loan, is free to students. Often, especially with journal articles, the materials are delivered online within a few days. Many of our databases will link directly to the ILL form for articles not held by the library. You can also access the ILL form from the Interlibrary Loan LibGuide.
If you would like to schedule an online research consultation to talk about searching, please email me at abgordon@una.edu. If you would prefer to have an in-person consultation, I would be happy to schedule something during one of your residency weekends.
