Creating Links to Content

To create a Link to a specific video in Films on Demand:

  1. Navigate to the page for the video.
  2. Look for the sharing details under the video screen and title.
  3. Click "Embed/Link" and copy the url in the "Record URL" box if you want to link to the video. Make sure that you copy the entire url.
  4. Paste the url in the desired location. The url already includes the proxy server prefix. So, it will work from both on and off campus.

 To create a link to a playlist:

  1. Login to the database. This will allow you to access your playlists.
  2. Click the "Hi, xxxx" button.
  3. Click "My Content"
  4. Click the drop-down at the end of the playlist and chose "Share"
  5. Copy the "Playlist URL." Make sure that you copy the entire url.
  6. Paste the url in the desired location. The url already includes the proxy server prefix. So, it will work from both on and off campus. Click "Embed/Link Playlist" and copy the "Record URL"

Personal Acccount

To use some of the features in Films on Demand, you will need to create a personal account. To create a new account, click "User Log In" at the top of the Films on Demand screen, then click "CREATE A USER ACCOUNT" or click here.

After you have created an account, you can create custom playlists, maintain folders of favorite items, and access your personal user preferences.

Playlists

The playlist options allows users to create custom lists of vidoes and video segments. To use this feature, you will need to create a personal account in the database. See the "personal account" box above for instructions on how to do this.

 To add videos and/or segments to your playlist:

  1. Navigate to page for the desired video.
  2. Click the "Add to" button under the video screen.
  3. Choose "Playlist"
  4. Choose an existing playlist to which you want to add the video or create a new playlist.
  5. Click "Save"
